WarrantyIn the event of a fault developing with your new holiday home please notify us via email, telephone, post or on by completing the warranty claim form below. We will forward you claim to the relevant manufacturer. Your claim will be acknowledged and given a reference number so you are able to contact us for updates. All manufacturers of caravan holiday homes offer a minimum 1 year warranty against any defect occurring as a result of faulty workmanship or materials, subject to conditions and exceptions as set out in their handbook. Warranty concerning damage or missing items, however, must be reported during handover, otherwise they will not be covered under warranty terms. Upon handover it is expected that you may find minor snags with your holiday home. Where possible, such as in the case of minor adjustment etc. Mon Caravans will assist. However, if the issue relates to manufacture and a specialist engineer or parts are required, we will refer these to the manufacturer on your behalf. Warranty claims sent to the manufacturer are divided into different areas. Engineer RequestsThis applies to cases where an engineer is required. Upon assessment of parts may be requested following this visit by the engineer. In some cases the manufacturer may authorise a Mon Caravans engineer to attend if it is possible for us to rectify. The manufacturer may require to reattend to work if parts or further work is required on the claim. This can sometimes be a long process, but they always endeavour to rectify as soon as possible. All claims are attended to within an approximate 6 -8 week period, unless it is of a more serious nature. Parts OrdersIn the case where parts are required it is expected that standard component parts will be sent out immediately, or within a few weeks if not already in stock. Custom made parts, such as woodwork items, may take longer to arrive. Often these parts have to be manufactured on site and are not kept in stock. If an engineer is required to assemble or fit the parts, they will be allocated soon after parts have been delivered. If parts are from an external supplier, such as windows, upholstery or accessories it is expected that the process may take longer as these will be ordered from the supplier then sent to the manufacturer. AppliancesIn the case of an appliance fault the manufacturer of the appliance will be contacted directly. Your personal details and contact telephone will be given to the engineer who will attend to the appliance. Please note that appliance requests if found to be not faulty are on a chargeable basis. Please also note that failure to gain access to the caravan, if key unavailable for instance, will deem claim void and may also be charged. It is highly recommended that you contact us prior to making a claim. Windows & DoorsAll claims will be forwarded to the manufacturer who will in turn forward to their window / door supplier. An engineer will be allocated from the supplier to attend and rectify fault where necessary. Please refer to your handbook for warranty terms and your responsibility for maintenance as the holiday home owner. Please note that any claim sent to the manufacturer, unless otherwise arranged, is your consent for the manufacturer to attend. A key to the holiday home must be available on site at all times for work to be carried out. Failure of entry will deem the claim void. Every effort is made by the manufacturer to notify Mon Caravans Ltd. of when work will be carried out. However, it is not always possible to know exactly when an engineer will be on site due to the volume and nature of the work being undertaken.
